How long will it take for my child to learn to swim?

Every child learns at their own pace, so the time it takes to become a confident swimmer can vary. Factors such as age, previous swimming experience, confidence in the water, attendance and individual ability can all influence their progress.

Regular attendance is key to building confidence, developing correct swimming techniques and progressing through each stage of our program. Some children may develop basic swimming skills within a few months, while others may require longer to become confident and independent swimmers.

Our experienced instructors will work with your child at their individual level, providing guidance and encouragement as they develop their swimming skills and water safety awareness.

Should I continue lessons during winter?

We get it — winter brings cold mornings, dark evenings and plenty of reasons to stay indoors. So why keep swimming? Because confidence, water safety and skill development are built through consistency. Continuing lessons through winter helps children retain their progress, start becoming summer ready and thrive in the water. With our indoor heated pool, swimming stays comfortable all season long.

Is swimming more than once a week beneficial?

Yes, swimming more than once a week can be highly beneficial for your child’s progress. Regular practice helps reinforce skills, build confidence and develop correct swimming techniques more quickly.

Swimming is a skill that improves through repetition and consistency. Additional lessons provide more opportunities for your child to practise and strengthen their skills, helping them progress through the program and become more confident and capable in the water.
